This is a great position for an experienced Business Development Manager, who ideally has experience within the general adhesives and coatings sector. Responsibilities:
- Responsible for managing multiple business sectors and market segments with a key focus in Ontario
- Core focus will be to grow the hardwood flooring wholesale sector and maintain plumbing and mill work, as future technologies are introduced to the market the areas of responsibilities will be expanded
- Manage existing accounts, support and grow the wholesale distribution network and assist with all marketing strategies
- Expand distribution networks for flooring/plumbing & millwork
- Promote/ sell coatings and adhesives to the wholesale networks and end users
- Investigate competitive products, observe trends and communicate constructively with management
- Work closely with applicators, observe methods and guide R&D for continuous improvements
- Contribute to sales strategies by monitoring pricing and recommend new product options
- Develop marketing strategies to grow the wholesale segments and expand to new ones
- Assist in drafting technical responses, recommendations and general information to the market
- Monitor sales and be accountable for sales targets
- Have or obtain knowledge to create and promote products categories through specification
Qualifications:
- 3-5 years of territory sales or business development experience
- Must have proven sales experience, ideally within the general adhesives and coatings (or related) sector
- Must be sales driven, focussed and a progressive thinker
- Educated and possesses a post high school diploma/degree
- Computer literate and capable of working with office suites
- Entrepreneurial, has a take charge personality and is reliable
- A forward thinker
- Excellent communication skills (French is an asset)
- This position will be home based with once a week meeting in office required
- Must be in possession of a car and willing to travel throughout GTA and Ontario and some out of province travel.
